How to Get Around
Air
Spokane International Airport (SIA) is the second-largest in Washington State and the largest in the Inland Northwest, with daily non-stop flights to all major hubs, and frequent flights between Spokane and Seattle. Air cargo and freight forwarders serving our regional market include Airborne, Emery Air Freight, Federal Express, and United Parcel Service.
Felts Field, located in the Spokane Valley near the Spokane River, was one of the first airports in the Northwest. A primary general aviation facility with approximately 72,000 aircraft operations annually, it accommodates private aircraft, charters and helicopters. The airstrip is centrally located with convenient access to local business, Interstate 90 and rail transportation.
 Rail
The railroads tamed the West, making it accessible to the rest of the nation. Today, the main lines of Union Pacific and Burlington Northern/Santa Fe railroads combine to make Spokane one of the major rail centers in the West. Spokane is at the point for hundreds of miles north or south where the mountains can be crossed at the easiest grade. Amtrak stops at the Intermodal Transportation Center in Spokane on its way to Seattle, Portland, and east to Chicago.
Motor Freight
More than 100 carriers operate out of Spokane. Interstate commerce activity makes Spokane a hub for trucking activities.
 Bus
Augmenting the Spokane Transit Authority’s public transportation system are several bus companies, including Greyhound and Trailways. The Intermodal Transportation Center serves as the bus and train terminal in Spokane, and you can hop on public transit there too. Rental car agencies, taxi and limousine services are available.
