Senior Living
Spokane has become a popular retirement area for senior citizens. People from around the nation come to the area to spend their retirement years.
Currently, 12.7 percent of Spokane’s population is over the age of 65. This is due in part to the excellent health care services and amenities the area offers.
There are a variety of home and community-based services in Spokane that support people who wish to remain in their own homes. Services range from Care Cars, a service designed to assist older adults for whom public and senior transportation is not an option, to neighborhood centers that serve hot, nutritious noon meals.
